Product Details

Dogs that eat too fast bolt their food in seconds, barely chewing, and often vomit or develop bloat as a result. A slow feeder bowl forces them to work around raised obstacles to access food, slowing intake by 5–10x compared to a standard bowl. This rotating puzzle slow feeder takes it further — the inner disc spins, so as your dog works one section of food out, the puzzle rotates and reveals a new section, adding a rotating element that engages problem-solving as well as slowing eating. Three coloured sections with different textures. Diameter 26cm. A utensil and a toy in one.

Key Features

  • Rotating puzzle mechanism — inner disc spins as your dog eats; keeps the challenge active rather than allowing dogs to find a fixed pattern
  • Three textured sections — different maze textures across the green, purple and blue sections; each requires a different tongue approach to extract food
  • Slows eating significantly — forces dogs to work for each piece of kibble; reduces eating speed and prevents bloat and vomiting from speed-eating
  • Brain stimulation — the rotating element adds genuine problem-solving that a static bowl cannot provide
  • 26cm diameter, 7.5cm depth
  • Non-slip outer base — blue outer ring grips the floor and resists spinning away during use

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my dog get frustrated and give up?

Most dogs initially try to tip or flip the bowl — the non-slip base prevents this. After a minute of trial and error, most dogs engage with the puzzle properly and start working food out section by section. Start by loosely placing food in the sections (not packed in tightly) so the challenge is achievable on first use. Reduce difficulty incrementally as your dog learns.

Is it suitable for cats?

Yes — cats that eat too quickly can use this bowl too. The shallower sections with raised texture work well for cats, whose more delicate tongue action extracts food differently from dogs. Some cats take longer to engage with the puzzle than dogs but most adapt within a few sessions.

How do I clean it?

Rinse under warm running water after each use to flush food out of the textured sections. For dried-on food, soak in warm water for a few minutes first to loosen residue. The puzzle can be disassembled — remove the spinning inner disc from the outer base — for easier access to the maze grooves. Top-rack dishwasher safe.

Is it suitable for wet food as well as dry?

Yes — the raised walls of each section contain wet food well. Wet food in the grooves is slightly harder to clean after, so rinse promptly after feeding wet food to prevent residue drying in the textured sections. The puzzle works particularly effectively with kibble due to the size and shape of dry food interacting with the maze walls.
