Should I attach it to a harness or collar?
Always attach the clip to a harness, never a collar. In a sudden stop the force goes through the attachment point — on a collar this goes directly to your dog's neck and can cause serious injury. A well-fitted body harness distributes the force across the chest and shoulders safely.
Will my dog still be able to move around?
Yes — the adjustable length lets you give your dog enough lead to sit, stand and turn around comfortably in the back seat, while preventing them from climbing into the front or moving around freely during driving. Set the length so your dog can sit and lie down but cannot reach the front seats.
Does it fit all cars?
The metal seat belt plug fits the vast majority of standard car seat belt sockets in the UK, Europe and most other markets. The plug is the same shape as a standard seat belt tongue and inserts into the buckle in the same way. Check your car's socket accepts a standard seat belt tongue before purchasing.
What does the bungee section do?
The coiled elastic section near the harness end acts as a shock absorber. In a sudden stop or minor collision, the elastic stretches to absorb some of the impact force rather than the full stop being transferred directly through a rigid strap to your dog's harness. It also reduces whiplash-type movement during normal braking.
